Hope and Help: Addressing Suicidal Thoughts at Manovaidya

Yes, it is a terrible and intense feeling but we all at Manovaidya are here to talk with whoever might be in suicidal and would like to release suicidal feelings. We follow a growth and immediacy focused methodology of short-term volunteer support. This is how we do it. We specialize in suicide behavior propensity assessment and provide when necessary residential psychiatric and therapeutic services. They are the designated providers of the services. The approach will be based on how severe is the suicidal ideas, and the root cause of the same. A treatment plan may consist of crisis intervention, medication, and even individual therapy.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) are examples of therapeutic approaches we are trained in to help individuals develop coping strategies, improve problem-solving abilities, and increase their ability to manage stresses and emotional issues in life. These are just a few examples of the kind of strategies we deploy. Both of these types of therapy are representative examples, in terms of the types of techniques that we use. These are the therapies needed to be used to change that hate - those thoughts that make people want to kill themselves - permanently. This is something that might sound to be feasible.

Another part that matters are support networks, or rather, Manovaidya seems to stress the importance of it quite a bit. These networks also include support groups for families as well as peers. These are also support groups in one way or another and also part rehabilitation process as well. By providing families access to a wealth of information and educational opportunities, we can better help families understand their loved ones, resulting in greater support.

The entire staff here at Manovaidya focuses on these individuals that are contemplating suicide, and they are dedicated to their goal of restoring hope to those in need. We aim for this via a recovery and resilience pathway, created by providing a place where people feel they belong. This is the environment in which we build our efforts on. This move will lead us to the way of healing and resiliency.
